You Want Nuts With That?
There's nothing like a market crash to give the wacko crowd a sense of purpose. And so, the streets around the Stock Exchange have been filled recently with visitors carrying signs proposing we repent for our sins, vote socialist or take other actions certain to either bring the end of days or at least send the S&P above 1,000 again.
Today we had the conflation of two groups: the usual crowd of fanatics combined with what appeared to be several dozen people attending a "Jail Time, Not Bail Time" rally by Ralph Nader and running mate Matt Gonzalez. Here are a couple of pictures from the steps of Federal Hall, across from the Stock Exchange.
I guess Ralph figures if he can't be in the presidential debates, he can at least try to send Dick Fuld to the Big House.
