At SIIA Previews This Afternoon
This afternoon is the Previews session of the SIIA Information Industry Summit. Previews showcases up and coming content and technology companies.
The keynote will be given by DoubleClick founder and Silicon Alley entrepreneur Kevin Ryan. Ryan's new company, Alley Corp, has launched a number of interesting media and technology businesses, among them the must-read Silicon Alley Insider blog.
Video will play a big part in this years' Previews presenters, including ExpoTV, which offer video-based user-generated product reviews, Courtroom Connect, a provider of video-based covedarge of trials, depositions and hearings, and Vator.tv, Bambi Francisco's professional network for pitching business ideas.
Other companies presenting include FeeDisclosure, ArchieMD, Health Monitoring Systems, Linkstorm, TutorVista, Lingospot and Keibi Technologies.
Previews offers a glimpse of some of the innovation in the content and technology space. If you're attending, be sure to say hello. Connectivity permitting (not a sure thing), I will live-blog the event. Thanks to Newstex' Larry Schwartz who chairs the Previews committee and does all the work behind the scenes.
The main IIS conference is held Wednesday and Thursday. Alacra CEO Steve Goldstein will be presenting Thursday as part of the Information Industry Innovators panel, where he'll talk about some of our recent product launches (Alacra Content Marketplace and the Premium Content Ad Network) and how they help drive the long tail of content sales.
Hope to see you there.
